AI (Artificial Intelligence) Update

I've been updating you on a regular basis concerning the creep of AI into your life. 

The latest incident took my breath away.

AI is being promoted as a time saver. Why use your brain and fingers to type something when a computer can take a guess at what to say?

Do you count on reviews of products before you purchase something? BEWARE - AI is now, or soon will, generate fake reviews.

Do you read comments under videos on YouTube to see what others think about the video? Some replies to comments are generated by AI.

I take the time to MODERATE all the comments on my YouTube videos. It's quite a bit of work.

I invest this time for you. I delete comments that contain false or misleading information. I do this so you and others in the future are not harmed by the bad advice.

Follow bad home improvement advice and you can get hurt or die. Follow most bad advice from commenters on my videos and you'll most definitely lose money.

As Dr. Caster used to say, "Today we're here to test the depths of your IGNORANCE."

Let me tell you, there's a DEEP OCEAN of ignorant advice on YouTube.

YouTube is now using AI to generate REPLIES I can use to place under a comment made by a visitor!

If I like what the computer has generated, I can just CLICK it instead of taking the time to type my OWN THOUGHTS.

I would never do this, but how many other channel owners you may follow are starting to use these FAKE REPLIES? There's no way to ID these FAKE replies saying, "This reply was generated by AI not the channel owner."

What's interesting is that when you UPLOAD a video now to YouTube, you have to check a box saying if any of the content in the video is generated by AI. 

It's an honor system, so you know how that works in today's world of diminishing MORALITY.
