Â
The National Weather Guessers (NWG) had issue a Winter Weather Advisory for my area. This is one step below a Winter Storm Warning. The three inches had increased to ten. Ruh Roh.
Â
Winter Storm Gail buried me four years ago with 39 inches of snow. The NWG had forecast 8 to 16 inches back then. If you've not read that story, you should. You'll not believe the photos here. Wait until you see the one of my truck!
Â
Kathy and I decided to stay put. She didn't want us coming home at 9 PM having to deal with getting down our steep driveway.
Â
Kathy doesn't trust my driving skills (I've driven NASCAR cars TWICE). She always feels we'll end up in the lake.
Â
I know better. I stop at the top of the steep section and put the car or my Ford Super Duty 4x4 in REVERSE.
Â
I then start to creep down the hill. If we start to slide. I hit the
gas.
Â
Trust me, it hurts your brain to do this. My brain SCREAMS at me, "You IDIOT! Stomp on the brake! You're going to send us into the lake at 80 mph!!!!!"
Â
Trust me, the car or truck stops sliding and in some instances you start to back up the
hill!Â
Â
Jeanyus!
Â
Yesterday Kathy and I had Charlie Brown cheese sandwiches and sauerkraut for dinner. Today we're traveling south to partake in the wonderful feast. Thanksgiving is my favorite meal of the year.
Â
Kathy made four pies for the holiday: pumpkin, pecan, apple, and
blueberry.
