My Old Books Request

Last week I asked you if you had old history or non-fiction books. I suggested that you NOT throw them away. Or, if you did want to get rid of them, send them to me as a birthday gift. Kent, who lives in Ohio, is doing just that.

Jacquelyn Lynn, a fellow writer/author, thought the idea was valuable enough to share with her followers. I felt you should read her perspective. Do Dry Wells Work?

In the past two weeks here in central New Hampshire we've received over 7 inches of rain. So much that the golf courses have been CLOSED for several days at a time. I never recall that happening.

Do you think a dry well will solve your soggy yard situation? Is it fact or myth? Do you think a geologist would know the answer?

Each week I get hundreds of comments on my 850+ videos on YouTube. Some of them contain sincere Thanks! messages, some are filled with spite and jealousy, and the vast majority of them exhibit a frightening lack of critical-thinking skills.

Should you stumble across one of these dangerous comments on my, or other creators, videos thinking it is sound advice, there's a good chance you'll lose thousands of dollars.

I'm going to start to share some of the dreadful messages to enlighten you. I'll try to maintain this new section of the newsletter. Often I introduce new things with good intentions, but they die on the vine.

An Uninformed Tree Hugger

Here's a comment that appeared below my Floor Trusses video. You might want to WATCH IT HERE so the comment makes sense. 

A Non-Geologist Builder

The following comment was put under my Foundation Waterproofing Tutorial video. I think it's a great example of someone who has a very limited data set. Think of a person living or working in a small bubble their entire life. Do this and you often have no idea what's on the other side of the transparent membrane:

DIY Plumbing - Installing Water Lines

Are you afraid of things? Fear is paralyzing and can ruin your life. It can also cost you money.
