I was just listening to orchestra music and scanning the news before leaving for church.

I came across a news story talking about how today is the tenth anniversary of the Boston Bombing.

I'm talking about the callous, cowardly, and sinister act perpetrated by the two Tsnarnaev brothers.

I was there and wrote about my experience the following morning. My story was echoed by quite a few publications over the next few days and weeks.

Here I am I'm wearing my coveted yellow and blue parka handed out to each of the volunteers. I was talking with Mike Tryon who was the head paramedic at first aid station #12 at mile 18.3. I was his chief radio operator that day.

Do so now to remember the three killed in the bombing as well as the two police officers who died trying to capture the bombers.

I'll never forget that day.

It's why this line enunciated by the character Andy Dufresne in the movie Shawshank Redemption is one I live by each day:

"It's down there and I'm in here. I guess it comes down to a simple choice, really. Get busy livin' or get busy DYIN'."
