Issue #1204 (I think...)

Are you a new subscriber? This is a very unusual edition. I don't think I've ever done it before, but I should have! I live in central New Hampshire where autumn color is so vivid, it can hurt your eyes to look at it for too long. Sensory overload is quite common, at least for me.

Understand that this summer was very dry. I thought it would affect the color and I feel it did a bit. But you may think I'm being too particular.

Next week's issue will be heavy in home improvement, but this week, enjoy what I got to see this past week. It was peak color here in central New Hampshire.

These are trees on my street. I love how the evergreens provide a backdrop for the deciduous trees.

That maple tree was that color of red. This is Hole #2 looking back up to the tee box at Lochmere Country Club.

These are hydrangea bushes between my house and my neighbors.

This is my golf buddy Bill. He just missed this 40-footer on the toughest Lochmere hole.See the flag to the left of his back? The green is also a lower level by the pin placement. It's a tough tough green.

This is Lake Winnisquam as seen from my deck.
