Issue #1193 (I think...)

This is a rare mid-week message. You may be like Elaine in North Carolina that emailed me yesterday saying how sick she was of the heat and humidity:

"I'm ready for Fall, maybe Winter😂 ice and no snow sounds good. We used to get a good bit of snow, but that's for the history books now.  I think it's gone with the Buffalo that used to roam around here..."

Well, Elaine, here are two photos and a story that drives home about being careful what you wish for:

I wanted to show how deep the snow was so I thought the best way was to just uncover half of the Beast. During the storm, the wind blew off about 40% of the snow from the top of my truck and the hood.

You can gauge the real depth of the snow on the ground to the left of the my truck based on the blue Ford oval in the center of the chrome grill. See where the snow shovels are leaning against the snow?

Yep, 39 inches.

Please go here to see many more photos of the storm aftermath. Wait until you see what I saw looking out my kitchen window that morning as I brewed fresh coffee. It was unbelievable.

I share this with you because this coming Thursday I'll be sitting on two foam pool noodles down in the lake for SURE. We're forecast to have our hottest day of the year here in central NH. 

I know it's been HOTTER where you live. The purpose of this quick shout-out is to let you know that Elaine is doing her best to nudge Mother Nature to bring us all relief!
