Is this your first issue? I aim to please. I think you'll discover a few things that will save you time and money.

 

That said, you could be a subscriber covered with the same amount of dust as a few boxes I've been opening in my garage attic. I've been on the hunt for a geology notebook I scribbled in 50 years ago in the desert Southwest of the USA.

Dire Wolf Project

 

Two weeks ago I had the distinct pleasure to meet Jennifer Stoeckl. She found me about three months earlier while she was attending the birth of a litter of pups.

 

Understand I was to discover these were not ordinary dog pups. These were very very special pups.

It was just before dawn in the state of Washington on a Saturday morning. I was LIVE streaming and moments later I went off the rails. Jennifer and I connected at that moment.

 

Jennifer had a question about how to insulate the floors of new kennels she and her husband were planning on building.

 

I proceeded to draw in real time a sketch of how I'd put in the foundation and concrete slab with closed-cell foam insulation. There's a secret way you have to cut the foam to provide the all-important thermal break.

 

I then said, "Jennifer, if you email me your address, I'll gladly mail you this sketch." She did and then I fulfilled my promise.

 

Jennifer is the co-founder of the Dire Wolf Project. I first discovered dire wolves in book one of Game of Thrones. They were epic animals before they became extinct.

 

It turns out that Jennifer is also a world-class author. I'm serious. Having written three books in my life so far, I'm on book four now, I KNOW HOW MUCH WORK is involved. I can also spot great writing.

 

I URGE YOU to read her book, Dire Wolf Project. The photos in it are stunning. Her stories are spell-binding.

 

Three weeks ago Jennifer was about to embark on a cross-country trip to deliver some of those pups to their new homes. She had to deliver one just 50 miles away from me and emailed asking if she could stop by.

 

Once Kathy found out that Jennifer would have two pups with her that were on their way to new homes, the answer was, "HECK YES!"

We got to spend about two hours with Jennifer and two of the cute pups.

 

While puppies are irresistible, they can grow up to be very big dogs. It's like having a toddler again. Traveling becomes problematic. Then you grow attached to them as I did to Lady the Dog.

 

All that said, it's looking like the Carter family may have a new addition if all goes well.

P.P.S. How do you feel about hypocrites? You know, the people that don't do what they preach. Many screech at you and I to do this or that, but they don't do it themselves. I detest them. I'll bet you strongly dislike them too.

 

The University of Cincinnati (UC), where I got my geology degree, has decided to divorce themselves from the man who donated the LAND and MONEY to found UC. You can read all about it here.

 

I wish I could have attended the press conference where this was announced. It would be no problem for my syndicate to get a press pass for me. After all, I'm a member of the working press.

 

In my little fantasy, after the pompous Neville Pinto finishes bloviating about how righteous he and the UC Board of Trustees are by taking this action, I would have asked but one question:

"Dr. Pinto, can you share with us a full list of all the things UC purchases each week that are made with Chinese SLAVE LABOR?"

 

I pretty much guarantee you that old Doc Pinto couldn't answer it, he'd lie, or he'd put some spin on the answer after his hypocrisy was exposed like the butt of a newborn babe.

 

The same goes for you. If you're all about erasing history and you thump your chest about the evils of slavery here in the USA, then by God prove to me your house is devoid of things that are made in China using SLAVE LABOR.

 

I'll bet you buy products made with slave labor each week. Don't offer up a flimsy excuse that you have no way of checking this out. Excuses are reasons for FAILURES.

 

STOP being a hypocrite.

 

If you buy Chinese crap made by slaves, then please don't get up on your soapbox blabbering sanctimonious words to others about slavery.
